Standup Question Types
You can ask seven types of questions in a standup:
We highly recommend that you include at least a Progress question and a Plans question to any standup in Jell.
This should be used for questions similar to "What did you accomplish yesterday?" where you want to see a list of tasks a team member completed. Jell will automatically add answers this question each day when any Plans answers from the previous day have been marked as completed.
This should be used for questions similar to "What are you planning to do today?" where you want to see a list of tasks a team member is committing to work on. Users will see any answers here prominently on their Workspace, and be able to easily move tasks here from their future plans. If tasks entered on this question aren't completed, they'll automatically carry over to the next day.
This should be used for questions similar to "What challenges stand in your way?" where you want to see a list of challenges or blockers facing a team member.
This should be used for a generic list of items that you want to a user to input. e.g. "Which prospects are most likely to close today?"
This should be used to present a free-form text field to enter a paragraph or more of text. e.g. "Is there anything else that you want to share?"
This should be used to present a 1-10 rating scale. e.g. "How confident are you about completing everything in the current sprint?"
This should be used for a generic number that you want to a user to input. e.g. "How many leads did you contact yesterday?" When viewed in a standup, we'll also attach an indicator to show how much this value changed from the most recent submission.
